Tired but alive

I haven't really felt as though I had much to say lately. I have been preoccupied with trying to get my life back into some sort of routine. I have finally found it. My days had been lacking personal time for me. Imagine that a mother-and a new mother to boot--was ignoring her own needs. I know Shocking....Any way, I was completely missing going to the gym and reading. I had been trying to fit going to the gym in Minnow's schedule. Silly me, he doesn't care that I go to the gym. Then I tried going when hubby would get home from work. Well then I had to rush home so we could have dinner. I'm one of those people who really likes eating dinner as a family. So, this supposed me time really wasn't since I was completely rushed and preoccupied with whom was waiting for me to get be done. I have finally discovered that going to they gym after dinner is best. Hubby and Minnow get daddy and baby time and I get uninterupted me time that I really get to enjoy. I can do my cardio, read and lift weights and not feel pressured to come home. I already notice a difference in my mood. I like me time. I need me time.

On another note--Go Cards. I am a huge Cardinals fan and have been since birth. I was certain with our nearly historic collapse at the end of the season that we would lose in the first round of the playoffs. But our team has stepped up huge. Minnow is wearing his rally cap for these last few games rooting his team to victory. We were lucky enough in 2004 to attend the NLCS and be there when the Cards won game 6 and game 7. That was amazing and the experience of a lifetime. we did go the World Series as well, where we got our asses handed to us by the Red Sox. I'm glad it was them. GO CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Life is starting to settle down, but Minnow is not sleeping much more. He still gets up 2x a night and then pretty early in the morning. The doc told me to expect that until his growth levels off. So I am hoping that happens soon. He is still growing radidly and that is good.

There are many other things I want to write about, but don't have the time now. I will put together some posts and get them up. Once I can really think straight and intellectually.

I'm sorry, I'm so stuck on the picture of how beautiful your son is that I had trouble concentrating for a few moments.

Dawn, he's so adorable.

Okay. You. Post-dinner workouts. I'm glad you figured something out! Very important for you to get your space and time to recuperate, and I love that you're finding both the reading and fitness piece meld together.

(oh, and shoes? went with the red ones. and the gray ones.)
